It is common knowledge that Dale Earnhardt Jr is an avid fan of sim racing. In fact, he even competes under his own name, which has often led to some hilarious situations. NASCAR paid tribute to the 48-year-old. Normally, the sport hosts its annual eNASCAR Coca-Cola iRacing Series championship.
The championship will be renamed in Dale Jr’s honour. The former NASCAR star even shared some exciting news in store for the fans. He wrote on Twitter, “AND… I got to design this years trophy. I'm confident that the winner will be extra happy and the losers will be extra sad.”
