Dale Earnhardt Jr Comes Clean on His “What the ** Are You Doing” Daytona Wreck

NASCAR fans and Dale Earnhardt Jr. will agree that the 2009 Daytona 500 race was not something they can be proud of.

What happened?

At the Daytona 500 race, after he got blocked, Dale Jr. literally hit Brian Vickers, pushing him out to win the race.

Dale Jr.’s justification

“Racing for lucky dog, had a winning car and time wasn’t on our side. Got blocked onto the apron and I decided to send him. Unfortunately he corrected back into traffic. Very regrettable. But I still get mad about the block today.”

How did fans react?

Although initially, fans weren’t supportive of his move, they understood where Dale was coming from after hearing his reasoning.
