Denny Hamlin Reveals His Cruel Desire Following the Kyle Larson-Ross Chastain Incident at Darlington

Last weekend at Darlington Raceway, the fans saw multiple wreaks happening on the racetrack. One crash, which caught the most attention, was between Kyle Larson and Ross Chastain. 

Many people voiced their opinion about the incident; now Chastain’s longtime rival, Denny Hamlin opens up about the incident.

With 6 laps to go in the final restart, Chastain and Larson were racing wheel to wheel when both of them got too close. Eventually, Larson’s front hit Chastain’s rear, which paved the path for William Byron’s victory. 

HMS boss is not happy with Chastain

Hendrick Motorsports boss, Rick Hendrick vented his frustration recently and said, “It’s really getting old with these guys. I don’t care if he’s driving a Chevrolet or if he wrecks our cars, I don’t care. I’ve told Chevrolet that. If you wreck us, you’re going to get it back.”

Hamlin’s surprising comments about the crash


During his ‘Actions Detrimental’ podcast, Denny Hamlin was talking to co-host Jared Allen, when he said, “I’m not speaking up for him [Ross Chastain]. I’m not, for the record, Kyle did hedge down from the racetrack a little bit.” 

Hamlin further assesses the crash

“I thought that they were going to make significant contact through, as much as throttle as they were carrying into the corner. But man! Yeah, it was Chastain who was probably more ahead of them. He had planned on being and so Kyle got squished into the wall. And then Chastain wrecked himself… we saw Kyle and just kinda keep the gas down. I wish he should have just kept going.”
