Denny Hamlin Warns Bubba Wallace to Watch Out Amid Creeping Playoff Desperation

NASCAR

After a disastrous race in Atlanta, Bubba Wallace made a solid comeback in New Hampshire, as he finished in the top 10.

He was also really critical of his crew team after Atlanta. Meanwhile, Hamlin, Wallace’s boss, sent him a stern warning after the Crayon 301 race, as his playoff berth is still in doubt.

Wallace and Hamlin talk about the crew team

After the Atlanta race, Wallace did not hold back, as he criticized his crew team heavily. After the New Hampshire race, Hamlin said, “Certainly, would like to see a little more performance, a little more execution on the team’s part. The team has its fair share of growing that they need to do. They let him down in some spots, for sure. We all have to get better.”

Hamiln’s co-host talked about the cut-line

With a few races left in the regular season, drivers are competing hard for the final few playoff spots. In the recent episode of the ‘Actions Detrimental’ podcast, Hamlin’s co-host Jared Allen said, “You just can’t afford to have any off weeks. If you gonna need to put up 50 points two to three times, you not gonna be able to afford to lose points, you not gonna be able to afford to go to race weekends like this one and not pick up any ground.”

Hamlin’s warning to Wallace

In the podcast, Hamlin said, “They are all hoping there is not a new winner, but they are probably budgeting for it and they are probably looking at Bubba Wallace, where he is at, or whoever is in 15th because you have just worked off 16th and you are probably gonna get roasted in the final race at Daytona… You just have to plan forth… This race has got the biggest x-factor of attrition and anyone can win.”
