NASCAR Driver, Who Got Jeopardized by Kyle Busch, Ends Decade-Long Drought, as Fans Rejoice

The recently concluded Atlanta race was heavily rain affected, as it was shortened to 75 laps. Meanwhile, RWR driver JJ Yeley had a tremendous race, as he showed his class. 

Notably, Kyle Busch replaced him on the Joe Gibbs Racing team back in the day, as the RWR driver finally redeemed himself. 

JJ Yeley’s Journey in NASCAR

After conquering the USAC, Yeley signed with Joe Gibbs Racing in 2004. He became a full-timer the very next year. Unfortunately, in 2008, Kyle Busch replaced him in the #18 car. Then he ran in the Xfinity Series and in the other NASCAR divisions until he made a return to the Cup Series in 2017 with Tommy Baldwin Racing. Later, he joined Rick Ware Racing and is continuing his journey in NASCAR.

In the Atlanta race, Yeley finished in 7th place, which was his first top 10 finish since 2013 Daytona, where he finished 10th. After the race, he said, “I can’t stress how critical and important it is for the alliance with RFK, I think they’ve been very generous with the time they’ve taken to help us make better race cars and just give us more information that we just never had the privilege to, so...”
