Former F1 driver, Kimi Raikkonen, rejoined the Trackhouse Racing Chevrolet team to compete at the Circuit of The Americas this weekend and it is safe to say that the Finn has found this aspect of NASCAR quite appealing.
Raikkonen said that the way the low-downforce stock cars are able to race without any reliance on any movable aerodynamic devices is enticing.
"People can actually overtake without the DRS, and it feels more like a normal older-style F1 racing. The racing is slightly different because in F1 with open wheels, if you touch somebody you usually lose a car or lose the wheel. In NASCAR, you can have a bit more closer racing.”
Well, Kimi is not the only one to be all about NASCAR. F1 drivers like Jacques Villeneuve and Montoya have been vocal about their love for NASCAR.
