Bubba Wallace dominated the pace during qualifying ahead of the race at Michigan and clinched his first pole position. However, later in the race, he could only manage a second-place finish after being stuck behind Joey Logano. Wallace’s spotter Freddie Kraft recently mentioned that he thought Denny Hamlin was the fastest guy at Michigan International Speedway and not Bubba Wallace.
While speaking on their podcast, the 23XI spotter responded to who had the fastest moment at Michigan. Kraft said, “I’m gonna give it to Denny. He was p 24 with 35 laps to go and he drove all the way to 3rd. He was the fastest car on the racetrack all day yesterday.”
While Bubba certainly did have a great race weekend on track, he wasn’t so happy for not being able to clench a race victory. On the other hand, Denny Hamlin was relatively happy, till he realized NASCAR took his car away for a post-race teardown inspection all over again.
