The Charlotte Motor Speedway race this weekend was nothing less than a nightmare for Chase Elliott. The Hendrick Motorsports driver witnessed a series of unfortunate events on the track. Unfortunately, the controversies continued to follow him to the pit road after the race.
During the initial phases of the race, everything seemed fine for Chase Elliott. However, a multi-car crash sent Elliott’s car spinning and took away his dream of winning the race. After the incident, Elliott finished in the 20th position and was clearly upset about the series of events that took place on the track.
Due to the collision, Michael McDowell’s car was pushed in Chase Elliott’s direction. And eventually, Elliott ended up outside on the grass. In a recent YouTube video, Hendrick Motorsports crew chief Alan Gustafson can be heard screaming “What a f***ing idiot.”
