NASCAR Cup Series driver, Bubba Wallace, is a name that has spread across households like wildfire. However, his real name is not “Bubba.” So a year ago, Wallace explained why he did not want his girlfriend to call him that and instead just stick to his real name.
Wallace said, “But there’s only a few people, that I won’t allow to call me Bubba. My girlfriend when she says it, it’s almost like she’s making fun of the name or joking. Her tone just doesn’t sound right, so I do not allow her to say Bubba.”
His full name happened to be, Darrell Wallace Jr, but over time, his nickname which was “Bubba” started to be used more and more often. After a certain point, “Bubba,” became more of a brand name for him.
