2022 NASCAR Cup Series Champion, Joey Logano took a rather brutal dig at NASCAR when asked about his relationship with Kurt Bush in a recent awards ceremony in Nashville.
“You Know my relationship with Kurt is a competitor… When I came in as a rookie, Kurt was one of the few people who actually talked to me. To me, it said a lot about his character and I got to spend time with him over the years… What I’d say is his involvement in the driver advisory council, he was the most impactful person.. Especially when he got hurt, he was all in, like… He took that time to really grow our sport. Shows to me a true champion, a true Hall of Famer. Like you said we should’ve honoured him tonight…”
The 23XI Racing’s driver decided to call it quits after concussion-like symptoms plagued his racing career after an unfortunate crash at Pocono Raceway.
The least NASCAR could’ve done was to give a small honor during the award ceremony, which did not happen causing Logano to make his statement.
