Kyle Larson and Chase Elliott are two of the biggest names in NASCAR today. So if one of them or both of them have an opinion that could change how NASCAR approaches an event in a big way, there’s a big chance of that materializing into reality.
Both of them recently expressed their common opinion about sending drivers home. In case they don’t make the main event of a race like the one in the LA Coliseum.
“I think it’s a good thing. I don’t see where it hurts anything at all, so I’m fine with that. I thought the event last year was good and ended up kinda figuring itself out in the end and I feel like most of the time it’s gonna do that. I’m good with that.”
“As we saw last year, it adds a storyline even though it’s nearly as intense as Daytona. You see it everywhere in the Duels. It makes the Daytona 500 for every team probably mean more and much more special to make it because you had to earn your way in.”
