Kyle Larson's Talladega Challenge

NASCAR

Kyle Larson, a top contender in this season's championship, faces a significant hurdle - the Talladega Superspeedway.

Larson's Talladega History

Despite his successful career, Larson has struggled at Talladega. His best finish at the speedway is 5th, which doesn't meet his high standards. He admits, "I mean, on paper, I’m by far the worst speedway racer in the history of Daytona and Talladega, I’m sure."

Larson's Current Position

Larson currently sits in the eighth spot among the 12 drivers eligible for the next round. This is concerning as he approaches one of his most challenging tracks. However, he remains hopeful, stating, "I think eventually if you keep putting yourself up front, you’ll have good fortune work out and dodge a few wrecks."

Looking Ahead

Regardless of the outcome at Talladega, Larson will have another opportunity at Roval. He aims to secure a spot in the last 8 with a win. As he says, "it’s gotta work out eventually."
