Dale Earnhardt Sr. was an icon of NASCAR. ‘The Intimidator’ had a persona and character like no other. However, former NASCAR boss Brian France reveals the reason behind new-age drivers’ inability to replicate the personality displayed by the revered Dale Earnhardt Sr.
“You know the Intimidator and that you know that he could go anywhere, he could go to the National Press Club in Washington and pull it off and then get on his tractor and be just as comfortable.
He didn’t care what everybody thought all the time, like, you know, like drivers I think today have more of that situation so that we were just lucky that happened for us as a sport, that kind of thing.“
