After his suspension from the Miami-Homestead race, Bubba Wallace is set to drive again at Martinsville. Owing to his actions at the Las Vegas Speedway, NASCAR penalized the 23XI Racing driver with a single-race suspension However, what would have happened if the governing body had failed to take action on it?
According to NASCAR spotter Brett Griffin, 23XI Racing co-owner, Denny Hamlin would have anyway parked out Wallace irrespective of NASCAR’s decision. This is because Hamlin seemed pretty upset with Wallace after his retaliation at the South Point 400.
In an episode of ‘Door Bumper Clear’, Griffin revealed; “I am spot off for suspending him. I mean Denny may have parked him anyway. I think Denny was pretty upset about what happened and upset to the point that he took his name off the door.”
