In NASCAR, to be eligible for the main race, first, the drivers have to suffice the criteria set for qualifying. However, it seems like one of Hendrick Motorsports’ drivers didn’t get a chance to even qualify for the upcoming race at COTA.
In a recent Truck Series qualifying held at the Circuit of The Americas (COTA), No. 7 truck driver, Alex Bowman couldn’t qualify for the main race. During the first round of the race, his truck’s tire got punctured, leaving the lap incomplete. He didn’t set the best lap time, not sufficing the prerequisites to qualify.
Many fans are hurt because of what happened with Alex Bowman. They portrayed support for Bowman and were anger at NASCAR.
Cup veterans like Ross Chastain and Kyle Busch had a great showing which got the fans’ adrenaline pumping. Chastain was the fastest among all and got the pole for today’s race. Busch was half a second behind his Trackhouse Racing counterpart, clinching the #2 position.
