It is safe to say that Bubba Wallace has opened up a massive can of worms. After blatantly wrecking Kyle Larson, he then tried to fight him physically. Needless to say, NASCAR was unimpressed with his antics and suspended him for one race. However, the likes of Kyle Petty felt that it was not enough.
There were other incidents as well. One of them was a loose wheel for Joe Gibbs Racing driver Kyle Busch. And, so his crew chief and two pit crew members were suspended for four races. Petty called out the hypocrisy of the matter and slammed the officials for being inconsistent.
Petty said, “It’s OK to spin a guy and knock him into the wall and you only get one. The optics of that for NASCAR are not good. They’re just not good. They’d didn’t leave that wheel off intentionally. They didn’t. What did he was intentional. This was an unprofessional move.”
