$20 Million NASCAR Rumors Swirl in After Michael Jordan Made Over $2 Billion Profit With One Sale
NASCAR
Recently, NBA legend Michael Jordan gained a massive amount of money after selling his NBA team Charlotte Hornets. Safe to say, he has made plenty of profit despite not winning anything as an owner.
Hence, many fans have been wondering about his profit in NASCAR, as he has not won anything so far as the owner of the 23XI Racing team.
Michael Jordan made over $2 billion in profit
In 2010, Jordan bought the Charlotte Hornets team for $275 million. Recently, he sold the majority stake for $3 billion. As per sports analyst, Joe Pompliano, Jordan will make over $2 billion on the deal, which is more than he has made from Nike in 40 years. Notably, the Hornets have the 5th worse winning % in the NBA under Jordan’s ownership.
Jordan is earning from selling charters in NASCAR
MJ has certainly shown his business mentality as the owner of the Hornets. Now, he is doing the same in NASCAR as well. As per reports, he could be selling charters for around $20 million. Notably, he already has 2 full-timers in Bubba Wallace and Tyler Reddick. Now, he could look to acquire a 3rd charter from the next season, which will see him gain more profit.
Meanwhile, many fans took to Twitter and praised Jordan’s business mentality, as one fan wrote, “Dude turned 275 million investment into 3 billion. That is big-time winning.” Another fan said, “I could see 23XI Racing trying to acquire a 3rd Charter and expanding to 3 Full Time Cars in the near future.” One fan suggested that Hamlin could be the 3rd Charter.
