Saturday night’s Xfinity race took a dramatic turn of events as series officials ordered Josh Williams off the track. While this scene already garnered a lot of attention, one particular comparison piqued the interest of NASCAR and NFL fans.
After Williams’ car brought out the caution on Lap 28 after being damaged in a three-car crash. His team taped up the damage, however, debris flying from the car brought out the caution on Lap 32, resulting in NASCAR ordering Williams out of the race to the garage.
“We all work really hard and to only run ‘X’ amount of laps and then to have something like a piece of Bear Bond and put us out of the race, it’s really frustrating,” Williams said after his meeting with series officials.
Josh, quitting mid-race, got fans to compare his move to Antonio Brown’s early departure from a Tampa Bay Buccaneers game during the 2022 NFL season.
