In July, NASCAR drivers will race at the Chicago Street Court. However, recent reports suggested that they will use mufflers to reduce the noise of the cars. Hence, Nextgen cars will use mufflers. However, this news already making a lot of noise, as fans are not very happy about it.
As per reports, around 100,000 spectators could turn out for the race in Chicago in July. NASCAR Chicago Street Race President Julie Giese recently said, “It’s an important market for us from a fan perspective… a great opportunity to showcase the city as well as NASCAR.”
Julie Giese recently told Chicago Sun Times, “Our NASCAR Cup Series cars will be running mufflers for this event… this is something that has only been done in one other race in an effort to continue to mitigate the sound.”
