It seems that the two-time NASCAR Cup Series Champion, Kyle Busch, was right about drivers not having enough consideration for their competitors. And it was Ryan Preece of Stewart Haas Racing who called it out pretty bluntly.
Ryan Preece was taken out in a wreck during a restart. Within moments, the #41 driver made contact with rookie Ty Gibbs, spun out, and hit the side of Ricky Stenhouse Jr, which meant his race was effectively over. He took to social media to call out the drivers who ended his race.
“I got wrecked by a bunch of hacks,” Preece said. “You want to know what this is? This comes down to a lack of respect.” He called out the drivers who “just pay their way,” and don’t respect cars. “They just run into everyone,” he claimed. “Somebody needs an a** kicking.”
“Solution starts with repercussions. There isn’t any so why listen, why show any respect, and why do anything that you should do, um you know etiquette-wise if there’s no repercussions.”
