Many wondered how Kyle Busch would fare out at Richard Childress Racing this season. His recent win at the Auto Club 400 speaks volumes of his abilities behind the steering. In addition to his driving capabilities, his experience and leadership will also prove to be invaluable to the team.
Austin Dillon was asked what has changed at the garage after Rowdy’s arrival. To this, Dillon replied, “I’m just glad Kyle is over here, it’s just such a great fit. Me and Kyle, really, do like hanging around each other, and talking race cars.”
“I do. I think the biggest thing is everybody is really on task and working hard and we have always been that way, we just needed, last year was really the trend. We were super happy with last year and wanted to keep that momentum going and we got the right people in place now.”
“RCR is home for him (Busch) now and it’s awesome to get that first win; obviously it happened fast. I just wish we would have been battling up there with him cause that would have been three weeks in a row in the top three. Any win is big for us at RCR so we are gonna keep tallying it all up and now it’s the three teams’ turn to lock in.”
