The recent Xfinity Series race at Atlanta Motor Speedway had a dramatic and unexpected incident when Josh Williams, a frustrated driver, parked his No. 92 Chevrolet on the start-finish line and walked away during the first stage. The move left NASCAR fans divided on whether it was justified or not.
“I didn’t think that it would be something, you know, this big…You know, I disagree to it. It is a rule, but every action has a reaction, right?” he said. He disagreed with the decision to park the car, which he found “upsetting for, you know, myself, my sponsors, you know, my DGM,” but stated that he didn’t regret his actions.
“I mean that not something that’s, you know, just be a reoccurring thing, you know, if there’s an issue just… you know… they make it seem like that but, you know, hopefully we’re not in that position again, you know, if we are its… you know, it is what it is.”
