Tony Stewart's Racing Superstition Shockingly Involves Kyle Busch's $94 Billion Worth Former NASCAR Sponsor

NASCAR

Stewart-Haas Racing owner Tony Stewart has built a massive legacy as a driver. And now, he is trying to do the same as the owner of SHR.

Meanwhile, he recently talked about being superstitious about a particular brand. Interestingly, Kyle Busch was associated with this brand while he was driving for Joe Gibbs Racing.

Kyle Busch’s former billion dollar sponsor

When Busch was driving for JGR, M&M was his primary sponsor. For 15 years, M&M was the main sponsor of Busch. Notably, Mars was the parent company of M&M and the brand value of Mars is around $94 billion. Because of his association with M&M, Busch was known as the ‘Candyman’.

Why did Busch leave JGR?

M&M decided to exit the sport completely last year, leaving Busch without a sponsor. However, JGR and Busch failed to find a sponsor for the car. Unfortunately, he had to leave JGR. Later, he joined Richard Childress Racing for the 2023 season; he is currently enjoying a stellar season with RCR.

Tony Stewart’s superstition

In his recent YouTube video titled ‘What a Real Race Weekend Looks Like’, he talked about having a weird superstition. After seeing a packet of M&M, the cameraperson asked him, “That’s your lucky charm?” In reply, he said, “Yeah, I am superstitious.” Later the cameraperson asked, “When do you take them?” Stewart replied, “Right now, I gotta take them out & show Renee & Bill, and Eric–4 of them, three browns and one blue.”
