Trackhouse Racing Owner Justin Marks Claims to Be Innocent After Being Called Out by HMS Legend Regarding Ross Chastain’s Antics

Hendrick Motorsport owner, Rick Hendrick called out Ross Chastain earlier for crashing into Kyle Larson at Darlington. Chastain’s boss Justin Marks publicly called out his driver after the HMS boss’ rant.

Recently, Marks was asked about his earlier comments on Chastain. However, he claimed to be innocent, as he revealed that he had a conversation with the HMS boss.

After Chastain wreaked Larson, Hendrick was furious with the Trackhouse Racing driver, as he said, “I don’t care if he’s driving a Chevrolet, if he wrecks our cars, I don’t care. I’ve told Chevrolet that. If you wreck us, you’re going to get it back.”

After receiving a warning from the HMS boss, Marks publicly called out Chastain. He said, “He’s very fast. But he’s got some things he’s got to clean up… we are going to talk to him.”

After Chastain’s amazing victory in Nashville, Marks was asked about his previous comments about Chastain. He said, “I don’t remember exactly what I said. It wasn’t boss and employee; it was friend and friend… It was like, ‘Hey, let’s look at this opportunity we’ve had. Let’s just work together to try to make sure we’re making the right decisions here, taking the most advantage of our opportunity.”

“I talked to Rick Hendrick at Darlington. I talked to Roger [Penske] a little bit, not about Ross, but just in general about stuff. These guys, they’ve got decades of experience with lots of different drivers… They’ve been through different eras of the sport. They’ve seen drivers come in with lots of talent, making different kinds of decisions. They have all that experience.”
