Ty Gibbs Put “Dumba**” Hendrick Motorsports Driver on a Blast in Kansas

The recently concluded NASCAR Cup Series at Kansas Speedway had some memorable moments. 20-year-old Joe Gibbs Racing driver, Ty Gibbs finished the race in 34th position after crashing with Hendrick Motorsports Driver replacement driver, Josh Berry. Later, on the radio, he blasted Berry.

Gibbs and Berry’s collision 

Berry replaced Alex Bowman on the track; however, he did not have a great race. He had a collision with Gibbs; Then he clipped Chris Buescher as well. On the radio, Rick Carelli, the spotter for Erik Jones, said, “Knew that #48 was going to lose the right rear because of the way he hit.”

Near the end of the race, Gibbs vented his frustration at Berry and said, “What a dumba**! That dumba** ran three people into the fence in the last five laps.”

Gibbs’ comments after the race

“I’ve not seen a replay at this moment, but I think the 48 got a touch tight and it washed up into me and got me really loose, and I came back down and got up. That’s the evidence of getting loose from the contact there.”
