Since the Clash at the Coliseum is behind, and the Daytona 500 is ahead with a one-week gap in between, many NASCAR fans would be wondering what do they do on the free weekend. But as for the drivers, and specifically Denny Hamlin, he has his weekend planned out.
“We’re just gonna chill out. Watch the Super Bowl. I don’t have any other plans, it’s pretty much a light week,” Hamlin said in the first episode of his podcast show Actions Detrimental.
“I think the Eagles got the easiest route to the Super Bowl of any team out there, Kansas City, everybody’s in the world like Kansas City, I believe that the public is dumb. I think the Eagles have a great team on the defense and the offensive side. So I’m just gonna be counterintuitive and pick the Eagles.”
“It’s awful,” Hamlin said of the Clash at the Coliseum. “It’s the worst racing, it’s not even racing. We were running the fine line between entertainment and racing at the Clash,” he added.
