$180 Million Star Canelo Alvarez Feels LeBron James Is Capable of A Career Change from Basketball "If He Dedicated Himself"

LeBron James has been putting on a masterclass in strength, athleticism, and longevity for the past 19 years. His tremendous work on his physique is the reason he displays no signs of slowing down after all these years.
From being dubbed ‘The Chosen One’ to becoming ‘The King’, his overall ascension to the pinnacle of basketball has been breathtaking to watch. It is unusual to see great athletes compete in two sports at the same time. However, by using his natural talents, the Los Angeles Lakers star would likely be a seamless fit in any other sport he chooses.

One could envision James shining on the football field, considering he was one of the most dominant wide receivers in his state. He even received quite a few offers from top colleges during his senior year in high school. Or perhaps, given his height and leaping abilities, some may envision him as a right fielder on the baseball field.
Canelo Alvarez, on the other hand, can imagine the four-time NBA champion effectively knocking people out cold as a boxer. During a conversation with GQ Sports, the $180 million boxer was questioned if LeBron James might be a good fit as a good boxer.

“Why not?”, said Alvarez right off the bat. “I think he has skills for the sport. He’s an athlete, 100 percent. If he had dedicated himself to being a fighter, he could do it,” he added.
LeBron James has received the green light from one of the best boxers today to don his boxing gloves. Alvarez adds fuel to a long-running boiling debate by indicating that he can imagine the NBA superstar in the boxing ring. In fact, the fire was first sparked after a fan suggested on Twitter that James would knock out ‘The Baddest Man on the Planet’, Mike Tyson.

LeBron James has put in countless reps to translate into the force of nature he is today. It required him years to refine his strength, skills, and athleticism. The giant of a man stands at 6-foot-9 and is weighed at more than 260 pounds. Is all that power and size, though, enough to overcome Mike Tyson? Mike Tyson is regarded as one of the most vicious, Dangerous, and powerful boxers of all time. ‘The Baddest Man on the Planet’ is more than a nickname. It’s a reminder of the havoc and brutality he made his opponents go through in the boxing ring.

However, a fan on Twitter once decided to cause a stir by saying LeBron James would knock Iron Mike out.James boasts tremendous strength and athleticism. Is that, however, enough to defeat one of the greatest boxers of all time?
Boxing and basketball are two very different sports. Boxing requires much more than simply strength and speed. reach advantage, like in James’ case, could play a crucial role as well. However, it is reasonable to assume that a pro athlete in any sport will outclass an individual who does not train in that sport.
