LeBron James

The 44th President of the United States Barack Obama spoke to Complex and weighed in on the GOAT debate. Being a Chicago native, Obama still considers Jordan to be the GOAT, but he noted that LeBron is edging closer to MJ. He said:
“LeBron is making strides in the GOAT debate. [But he’s not quite there yet?] Not quite because look, his career is not over yet. And we don’t know how many more rings he might win.”

Michael Jordan

In 2014, former Chicago Bulls superstar Michael Jordan sat for an interview with USA Today. Halfway through the interview, MJ was asked which four people he would pick for golf. Jordan immediately took the name of professional golfer Arnold Palmer as his first choice. He then took the then-president Obama’s name. However, MJ seemed skeptical about it and eventually dismissed Obama as he felt that he would be able to take him out easily.

Stephen Curry

Stephen Curry once violated NBA guidelines twice within the confines of a single week. In fact, one of the violations was prompted by a shoe collaboration with Barack Obama. As it turns out, Stephen Curry had to immediately stop wearing his new design of shoes after the league issued an embargo on them.

Wade was on The Late Night Show with Jimmy Fallon and he was talking about playing basketball with celebrities. He said that he once got to play with Obama. Wade explains that was it the president’s 49th birthday, and he got an invitation through a cryptic e-mail.
