Michael Jordan is widely recognized as the greatest player to ever play the game of basketball. Jordan’s dominance on the hardwood was so grand and majestic, that most of his opponent’s feared him on the court. Even his own teammates were intimidated by the overarching aura of Michael Jordan. However, there’s one thing that MJ himself was scared of. Water. Yes, His Airness reportedly had Aquaphobia, fear of water. Incidentally, Jordan lost a friend at a very young age after the boy drowned in water. Jordan was present on the scene at that time and was trying to help him. The boy reportedly tried to pull him down in a desperate attempt to survive. The trauma from the incident lead to MJ’s Aquaphobia.
