Dennis Rodman, Who Lost $27 Million From His Net Worth, Was Forced To Put His $550,000 Beloved Possession on Sale in 2015

Dennis Rodman had become a household name in the 90s. He was part of the infamous ‘Bad Boys Pistons’ before joining NBA legends Michael Jordan and Scottie Pippen several years later. The five-time NBA champion had it all. Despite displaying eccentric behaviour at times, such as kicking a cameraman or coming to practice late, he was one of the most popular athletes during the majority of his career. So what went wrong that the Rebound King had to resort to other ways to make some extra cash? Many wouldn’t know that Dennis Rodman currently has an estimated net worth of $500,000. For someone who is considered the greatest rebounder of all time, the numbers are pretty hard to believe. It could either be careless expenditures or poor financial decisions that led Rodman to take the decision to sell his unique possession. Unique, because of its ‘Rodman style’ customizations.

Dennis Rodman put his customized vehicle on sale

In 2015, Dennis Rodman shocked fans when he put his Hummer H1 up for sale on eBay. The ad for the vehicle was posted on the online marketplace with several pictures of the Humvee. One look at the pictures and you would know who it belonged to because the Humvee’s customized designs screamed ‘Dennis Rodman’ from all sides. Apart from the obvious specifics, the wagon also boasted sketches of n*de women airbrushed on it. But wait, there’s more!

At the back of the vehicle, interested buyers would be able to see a picture of Rodman himself painted on one side of the door. It seemed as if Rodman was taking a peek from inside the vehicle. There is also a basketball with Rodman’s jersey no. 91 painted on one of the doors.

In short, the potential new owner of the wagon would sure turn heads while on the road with the Humvee. While the ad has long since been removed from the website, it is unknown who the new owner is. At the time, the 1996 Hummer H1 was listed for $55,500.

Con artist scams Dennis Rodman

Following his fifth NBA championship, Dennis Rodman’s days of glory were gradually coming to an end. The two-time NBA All-Star had made millions by then and understandably needed help to manage the vast earnings. That’s when Peggy Fulford entered the picture. The two quickly became great friends and Fulford had evidently gained Rodman’s trust soon enough. Fulford accompanied the NBA legend to the event where he was inducted into the Hall of Fame. Such was the bond that the Chicago Bulls legend even mentioned Fulford in his speech.

However, over the duration of three years, Rodman’s ‘financial manager’ discreetly drained his bank account. By the time, Fulford was revealed as a con artist, she had already stolen a whopping $27 million from the Bulls legend. It was later found out that Fulford had previously duped several other athletes in a similar fashion.
