Inking a 6 Figure Deal at Age 18, Shaquille O'Neal's Lesser Known Son Shaqir Takes Another Leap in the Fashion World

Recently, Shareef O’Neal, son of NBA legend Shaquille O’Neal, signed a deal with the G-League side Ignite. Shareef had declared for the 2022 NBA draft and worked out with different teams before the draft. To his utter dismay, he went undrafted. However, the Los Angeles Lakers came calling. They offered him a spot on their Summer League team. Even though he did not get a lot of game time, Shareef displayed his skills whenever he was called upon. But he did not make the Lakers’ final roster.

After his performances in the summer league, Nevada-based G-League side Ignite offered him a deal. And Shareef took to Twitter to share his excitement about it. Much like his father and older brother Shareef, Shaqir O’Neal is also pursuing the dream of becoming a professional basketball player.

Shaqir is currently playing college basketball for Texas Southern. However, he is also multi-talented like his father. Over the years, Shaq has built a business empire with his smart investments. In fact, the 50-year-old NBA veteran is one of the richest retired athletes ever, and it is not through luck. As it turns out, his involvement in a variety of businesses has rubbed off on his children.

Shaquille O’Neal hit the ground running when he first joined the league. No one expected a rookie to be as dominant as he was. However, Shaq did not forget to pursue his other interests and became a musician. As for Shaqir, his interest lies in fashion. He wants to make a name for himself in the fashion world. When he was just 18 years old, Shaqir was reported to sign a six-figure deal to launch a clothing line with ‘BoohooMan’. Now at age 19, that deal has been finally cemented.

In addition, he is taking his older brother Shareef along with him. As per reports, Shaqir and Shareef O’Neal are teaming up with ‘BoohooMan’ for a joint fashion collection. “BoohooMan is a really cool brand,” Shareef O’Neal said. “We got introduced to it a few years ago by [rapper and producer] Quavo. They did a little collab and he had so many clothes and he gave us some and we were rocking it back in like 2019.” While talking about fashion, Shareef said that Shaq’s fashion sense is no better than his and Shaqir’s.
