Luka Doncic Joins LeBron James, Michael Jordan and Other NBA Legends In Historic List After Another 50-Point Performance

The Dallas Mavericks are rallying behind their star player, Luka Doncic as they go on a six-game winning streak. The Mavericks just defeated the San Antonio Spurs in their last matchup. The Mavs won by a one-point difference in the end. Despite San Antonio Spurs head coach Gregg Popovich having drawn-out plans to contain him, the Slovenian star went out of his way just a bit to disrupt coach Pop’s ideas. Luka Doncic has clearly been on a tear these past few games. Coming off one of the best performances of his career, scoring 60 points, Luka followed it up by going off for another 50-point game.

Luka Doncic continues his MVP-level form

Spurs coach Gregg Popovich’s plans to contain Luka Doncic to 50 points were ruined by the three-time All-Star. Earlier, Popovich said that he wanted to hold Luka to 50 points in their matchup against the Mavericks.

Luka dropped 51, scoring that one extra point that put the game away and the Mavericks went home with a victory. Fans shared their reactions on social media after another historic Doncic performance.

Fans praised Doncic for his performance, comparing him to Kobe Bryant, Michael Jordan, and also Stephen Curry. His recent performances have certainly put his name high on the MVP list for the season.

Dallas move up the ladder in the West

The Dallas Mavericks have finally been able to turn things around in the second half of December. Since the move of Christian Wood to the starting lineup, Doncic has gotten that much-needed help required. However, it still has been a ‘Luka Magic’ show through and through.

It seems as if Doncic has taken it upon himself to will his team to victory at all costs. Doncic’s points-per-game average has taken a huge leap in these past few days. He is averaging 34.2 PPG, 8.7 RPG, and 8.9 APG per game. The next player with the highest point average on the Mavericks roster is Christian Wood, who is averaging 17.7 points per game.
