Only Player Other than Luka Doncic who Grabbed 30 Points or More in the First 8 Games of the Season

If there is one man who is conquering the basketball world, it might just be Luka Doncic. The 23-year-old wonder kid of the Dallas Mavericks has made it a habit to go after the record books. Recently, he beat out Michael Jordan after an six-game streak of scoring 30 points or more. Likewise, Doncic has asserted himself in the MVP conversation.

A 30-point streak has now lasted six games for Doncic

With just five seasons in the NBA under his belt, the Slovenian player has matched Michael Jordan's career record.

"Luka Doncic just became the first player since Michael Jordan in 1986-87 to score at least 30 points in his team’s first six games of the season," ESPN reports

A 30-point streak has now lasted eight games for Doncic

As Dallas Mavericks beat Toronto Raptors 111-110, Doncic scored 35 points, making it eight straight games with 30 or more points.

Only Wilt Chamberlain scored 30 or more points in the first eight games of a season, which he did in 1959-60 and 1962-63.
