Which Record-Breaking Performance From Stephen Curry Beat Tom Brady At ESPYs 2022?

Not only did Golden State Warriors star Stephen Curry win the NBA championship in 2021-22, but he also made a lasting impression on the NBA world. Additionally, he has been rocking in other areas as well. This year’s ESPY Awards were held on 21ST OF JULY, and Curry hosted the ceremony as fans were thrilled to see their favorite basketball star doing something new. During the show, Curry made some headlines with a few funny jokes that are making the rounds online.

Even LeBron James was the subject of some of his jokes. “I’m the second NBA player to host this award show, which is kind of crazy to think about,” Curry explained. “LeBron James, he hosted this award show back in 2007, after losing in the NBA Finals,” he said. “So yes, you guessed it, this feels better, this feels better.”

In addition to hosting the award show, he was nominated three times. Among these are the Best Athlete, Men’s Sports; the Best Record-Breaking Performance; and the Best NBA Player.

Other NBA stars like Luka Doncic, Joel Embiid, and Nikola Jokic competed against him in the nomination category for Best NBA Player. As for the award for the best men’s athlete, he competed against Aaron Rodgers of the NFL, Shohei Ohtani of the MLB, and Connor McDavid of the NHL.

The NBA's all-time 3-point list was passed by him earlier this year, leading to him winning the Award for Best Record-Breaking Performance.

"Appreciate this, the only reason I wanted to host is that I thought I'd be able to present myself with the award," Curry joked. "It didn't get to happen, but definitely a great honor. Same way I looked up to my dad, Reggie Miller, Ray Allen, the guys that were before me.
