When Stan Van Gundy was asked why AD made the Top 75 and Dwight did not, he made a controversial statement backing his former Magic Center, “You cannot make a case that Anthony Davis has had a better career than Dwight Howard. That’s absolutely ridiculous.”
Dwight led the Magic to the 2009 NBA Finals against Kobe Bryant and the Lakers after winning three consecutive Defensive Player of the Year titles in Orlando. Even in the latter years of his career, he was a defensive powerhouse throughout his peak and assisted AD in winning his first championship in 2020.
