Lebron James recently overtook Kareem Abdul Jabbar in the scoring department when he scored his career 38,338th point against Oklahoma City Thunder. Stephen Curry holds the bragging rights for most threes made in NBA history whereas Michael Jordan has got multiple three-peats.

But a surprising record came to notice recently. And turns out it’s held by neither of these superstars.

Josh Giddey joins an elite group

Josh Giddey was the sixth overall pick by Oklahoma City in the 2021 NBA draft. He featured in his first-ever post-season game when Oklahoma City beat the New Orleans Pelicans.

In that game, he achieved a rare feat. NBLfacts reported that Josh Giddey is now the first player ever to score over 30 points in his first-ever appearance in a post-season game. He is followed by some of the NBA legends like Allen Iverson, Kevin Durant, and Shaquille O’Neal. Oklahoma City is set to take on the Minnesota Timberwolves in the second game of the post-season.
