The yearly 24 Hours of Le Mans endurance contest takes place this weekend. The 100th anniversary of the inaugural 24 Hours of Le Mans, which began in 1923, makes the 2023 event unique. The 24 Hours of Le Mans is furthermore recognised as one-third of the illustrious Triple Crown of Motorsports. The top names in racing attended the centenary event to participate, and the race even marks a first for the discipline.

Star studded Event 

the endurance racing paddock was also filled with a bunch of sporting celebrities. Among them were NBA star, LeBron James, who had the honor of waving the flag to start the race. NFL legend Tom Brady was another guest at the event, along with Ferrari Formula One driver, Charles Leclerc.

Why the 2023 Edition of the 24 Hours of Le Mans Is Special for NASCAR?

Chevrolet and Hendrick Motorsports declared their willingness to participate in the renowned endurance event last year. The modified NASCAR Next Gen vehicle was then put through a rigorous testing period of a few months to evaluate how it would perform. A star-studded lineup for the #24 Chevrolet Camaro was later revealed by the Garage 56 organisation. Mike Rockenfeller, a former Le Mans champion, would really be the driver. Jimmie Johnson, a seven-time NASCAR Cup Series winner, and Jenson Button, the 2009 F1 world champion, are standing next to him.
