In his first season, Banchero was an Orlando Magic point forward. After Michael Jordan and Zion Williamson, he became the third player to reach that mark in 20 out of 26 games. Banchero has regularly shown his extraordinary skills on the court, making him one of the league's top scorers. He garnered a lot of accolades for his 31-point effort against the Boston Celtics.
Paolo Banchero shares a Michael Jordan Story
Banchero most recently made an appearance on the Player's Tribune podcast. Banchero responded when asked how it felt to finally introduce his own sneaker, "It's a dream come true, like that's all I can say. Basically, when I was still deciding before I really signed, it really came down to Jordan and Adidas as the only two options. Jamal Crawford, one of my older brothers, contacts me when I'm at the airport and asks, "P, how have you been?" Yeah…I hadn't spoken to him recently. "I'm good," I said. Man, you know who just phoned me, he said. I thought, "Man, who?" He said, "Man, MJ."
A DREAM COME TRUE FOR THE ROOKIE
Paolo Banchero's opportunity to work with Michael Jordan is undoubtedly a dream come true. He is now the company's face, despite once donning Jordans as a fanboy!
