Stephen Curry ignited the crowd by winning the just ended Celebrity American Century Championship golf competition. The superstar's hole-in-one stroke attracted a lot of attention from the athletic world despite the fact that he won the event.
Hours after the iconic moment, Steph joined in for a quick video chat on ESPN to celebrate his victory. The hosts displayed praise tweets of sporting superstars on the big screen and asked for Curry’s response to it. He said, “it was crazy… it’s cool to know like there’s so many newcomers to the game of golf.”
As soon as Curry hit the hole-in-one, the video of the swing went viral, and several athletes took to Twitter to congratulate the NBA star.
Notably, Patrick Mahomes, who recently defeated Curry in a celebrity golf game, said, “I wish I was as cool as @StephenCurry30.” Apart from his LeBron James, Andre Iguodala, Trae Young and many more hailed the superstar.
