This past weekend saw the formal induction of former Miami Heat great Dwyane Wade into the Hall of Fame. During the event, the NBA unanimously admitted the three-time NBA champion into the Hall of Fame and turned in his trophy. But later, he had to playfully ask one of his old Heat teammates for it again.

Dwyane Wade got teased by his former teammate

After the ceremony, Dwyane Wade was chatting with a few other NBA superstars, while Bam Adebayo was holding his Hall of Fame trophy. The former Miami Heat teammate was right by Wade’s side when he said, “He over there celebrating and I’m over happy ’cause I got the Hall of Fame trophy in my hand”. He then jokingly asked D Wade whether he wanted it back to which the latter replied, “Imma take it”.

Wade and Bam had a long history together because they shared the pitch for a single season. Wade and Adebayo shared the court after Wade joined the Heat again. The pair contributed to a number of memorable events during what ended up being The Flash's last NBA season.

Is Bam Adebayo a Hall of Famer yet?

Bam is already well-established as one of the top centres in the NBA. He was essential to the Heat's playoff campaigns over the past three years. So far, his partnership with Jimmy Butler has been fantastic. The team has made it to the NBA Finals twice so far, but has yet to take home a championship. They constantly set an example by never giving up, but they have no titles to show for it.
