Weeks after Mark Cuban’s Misunderstanding, Kyrie Irving Fanboys over $160 Million Worth Rapper’s 1964 Rendition

When the Dallas Mavericks acquired Kyrie Irving in a trade last season, they were widely criticised in the NBA community. Both fans and analysts were shocked by the move. When they decided to contract him again this offseason, they faced further criticism. Kyrie and the Mavs reached an agreement on a $126 million, three-year contract with a player option for the final year. The abrupt end of their season run raises questions among supporters about the purchase. Nevertheless, Kyrie and Luka Doncic have only collaborated on 16 games. The team has a chance to start again this season, with plenty of time to collaborate and do their magic on the court.

Mark Cuban clarifies his take on Kyrie Irving

Mark Cuban, the well-known owner of the Dallas Mavericks, was questioned about his selection of Irving. Irving's time in Dallas, in his opinion, will be very different from his last two destinations with the Brooklyn Nets and Boston Celtics.

During an interview on SiriusXM NBA Radio at the 2023 NBA Summer League, Cuban said this while talking with Frank Isola and Justin Termine: “I think Kyrie is just misunderstood. Everybody sees all the noise and everything around it. But when you actually talk to him. I like him! He’s open, he’s smart. He’s always looking to learn new things. To me, he’s an interesting guy who’s just misunderstood.”
