18 Months After Know Your Rights Autopsy Initiative, Colin Kaepernick Pledges Support For 28,000 Unprivileged Americans

Former San Francisco 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick’s NFL career might not have shaped the way he wanted to after he took the world by storm by kneeling to protest racial injustice. The former quarterback has been working for people in need through many social justice initiatives.

The man who kneeled for injustice cost him his NFL career

Kaepernick, who led the San Francisco 49ers to a Super Bowl in 2013, last played in the NFL in the 2016 season after he started kneeling during the national anthem to protest racial injustice. Since then, the quarterback has focused on social justice and helping as many people as possible.

Colin Kaepernick's Know Your Rights Autopsy Initiative

Colin launched the 'Know Your Rights Camp' last year. It provides free second autopsies to families of those who die from police-related incidents. The initiative collaborates with a panel of board-certified forensic pathologists who perform autopsies and disclose preliminary findings to the family.

Colin Kaepernick creates more awareness on social media

Recently, Kaepernick shared a testimony video of the relative of a convict who passed away in prison on his Instagram story. The woman expresses her gratitude towards the organization and shares her feelings in the video.
