$255 Million Man Jalen Hurts Set to Follow Patrick Mahomes Tax Shoes to Enter NFL’s $100 Million Elite Club

Earlier the Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts signed a five-year deal with the Philly side, as he became the highest-paid NFL player in history. Notably, Patrick Mahomes, the Chiefs QB, also signed a lucrative deal in 2020, which is still the largest contract in the NFL. Apart from earning money, both Mahomes and Hurts need to give a lot of money away as well. 

Jalen Hurts’ massive contract with the Eagles

Over the next five years, i.e. till 2028, Hurts will earn around $255 million. Basically, he will earn more than $50 million per year. He will get $179 million in guaranteed money and $23,294,000 in signing bonus. Moreover, he also has a no-trade contract in his clause.



Patrick Mahomes’ deal with the Chiefs


In 2020, Mahomes signed a 10-year deal with the Chiefs, where he will make around $450 million in those years. His deal was activated from the 2022 season and the contract will last till the end of the 2031 season. However, Mahomes could pay nearly $200 million in taxes for the next 10 years, becoming the first NFL player to do so. 

Hurts will pay almost $100 million in taxes

As per Hurts’ contract, he will make around $4 million per month and $151,000 daily. Because of the famous Jock Tax, he will be paying around $20 million in taxes per year. Hence, $100 million in the next five years.
