Davante Adams may have seen more green from the Packers, but it appears the All-Pro receiver didn’t flinch at the opportunity to return to Green Bay, joining the Raiders instead. Let's have a look at the whole story.
Along with being traded, the 29-year-old was reportedly given a new five-year deal from the Raiders worth $141.25 million. It will make him the highest-paid wide receiver in the NFL.
And the cherry on top was the chance to again share the same uniform with Derek Carr. His teammate at Fresno State, and a fellow Californian.
Packers without Adams
The Packers, meanwhile, will have to rebuild their wide receiver pool after Adams’ departure. Green Bay did lock in quarterback Aaron Rodgers this offseason, signing him to a three-year, $150 million extension.
