Former Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver JuJu Smith-Schuster is on his way to Kansas. The athlete will be receiving for Patrick Mahomes next season. He has signed a one-year deal with the Kansas City Chiefs. Smith-Schuster made the announcement on Twitter. He also released a heartfelt goodbye to the Steelers Nation.
According to ESPN’s Field Yates, the Chiefs have signed the 25-year-old receiver for $10.75 million. With a new chapter opening up in his career, Smith-Schuster did not forget to pay his respects to the fans. He loves the fans, and he was honored to play for them.

JuJu Smith-Schuster Says goodbye to the Steelers Nation
The Pittsburgh Steelers selected JuJu Smith-Schuster in the second round of the 2017 draft. He was the 62 overall pick. The wide receiver has prospered during his tenure at Pittsburgh. Smith-Schuster has played a total of 63 games in his career. The WR has made 26 touchdowns across five seasons. He has 323 catches for 3,855 receiving yards.

2018 was the best year for the athlete because just at the young age of 21, he caught a career-high 111 passes for 1,426 yards. JuJu also won his only Pro Bowl to date in that season. In 2020, the receiver became a free agent. Many franchises showed interest in him. But he chose to sign a one-year extension with the Steelers. But this offseason, he will be moving out of Pennsylvania.

Before leaving for the Chiefs, Smith-Schuster took the opportunity to thank the Steelers Nation. He released a statement saying that he is grateful for everything that the fans have given him. The receiver wrote, “These five years have been the best five years of my life,” JuJu adds, “I owe so much to the fans who embraced me and who made me play on Sunday’s in Pittsburgh so special. It was an honor to wear black and gold for you all! I love you!”
