Hours Before Big News, NFL Commissioner Acts Tough to Ensure Six-Game Suspension to Saints 24YO Rookie for ‘Serious Violation’

New Orleans Saints rookie Jake Haener faced serious trouble, followed by a PED violation. Right before the main season, Haener found himself in a disheartening situation because of his suspension. The quarterback asserted his willingness to learn from the incident.

Haener’s PED violation

Haener was accused of violating the league's performance-enhancing component regulations. According to the allegations, he tested positive for a substance banned by the NFL authority. Despite this, the young QB remains perplexed and claims to have avoided using any supplements containing the substance.

NFL authority’s tough decision

On Wednesday, the NFL Commission announced an unpaid suspension of Haener for the first six matches. He will be eligible to attend the Saints roster on 16th October for their week 7 match against Jacksonville Jaguars.

Haener is not the first one

Despite the rarity of suspensions for PDE violations among quarterbacks, QB Mark Sanchez was also terminated in 2018 for a similar misconduct.
