“Treats Me Like a Journeyman”: 24-Year-Old Jalen Hurts Feels Aged After Going Through Massive Character Arc in NFL Role

The journey of the Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts has been an impressive one. Soon, he will be playing his fourth year in the NFL, as he fetched a massive 5-year deal with the Philly team. Meanwhile, he recently talked about feeling old after going through one of the toughest journeys. 

Hurts’ journey in the NFL

After getting a scholarship from Alabama, Hurts showed tremendous promise at Oklahoma, where he was one of the finalists for the Heisman trophy. Then, in the 2020 NFL Draft, he was picked by the Eagles in the 2nd round as a 53rd overall pick. Initially, he was seen as a bench player; however, he proved himself and became one of the youngest QBs to take his team to the Super Bowl. 


Hurts grabbed a massive deal with the Eagles

After an impressive season with the Eagles, he bagged a big contract, which will see him earn around $255 million for the next five years. Moreover, he will earn some eye-catching incentives along with $179 million in guaranteed money.

In the recent press conference, Hurts said, “I’m 24 going into year four but, you know, when I first got here, you know, everybody kind of treats me like a journeyman. And I’ve experienced a lot whatever but, playing at Alabama, playing at Oklahoma, those are two very special places. Philly,its a Philly thing.”
