Conor McGregor’s Coach Bashes Andrew Tate for Controversial Take

Andrew Tate has oftentimes found himself taking heat for his comments. Matt Thornton, recently shared a tweet wherein he dissed Tate for claiming that Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu is useless in a street fight. Soon after Thornton posted the tweet, Conor McGregor’s  coach, John Kavanagh, took to the comments section and joined the author’s stand against Tate. Kavanagh didn’t mince any words and had a lot to say about Tate.

Thornton recently shared a link to a video where Tate was talking about the art of BJJ. In the video, Tate claimed that one cannot use BJJ outside the arena or dojo. He seemed to use real-life situations to show how useless the sport was.

John Kavanagh disses Andrew Tate for offending the art of BJJ

He said, “BJJ is absolutely useless outside the cage or a dojo. It’s useless on the street. You can’t do a double-leg takedown on concrete. You’re gonna f**k yourself up. Even if you do take him down to the ground, many submissions don’t work if he can bite, or if he can scratch your eyes, or if he can pull a knife. Thirdly, you don’t know if he has friends.”

Soon after the post hit the social media platform, Kavanagh replied in the comments section and dissed Tate. He wrote, “He ripped off a bunch of socially awkward lonely men to get rich. How does anyone listen to this guy??” Undeniably, Kavanagh’s frustration seemed to reflect in his response.

The former UFC champion, Michael Bisping has repeatedly claimed that BJJ was not meant for every scenario. He previously opined that it would be utterly useless in front of multiple attackers.
