Currently ranked #1, Dustin Poirier, is set for a highly anticipated trilogy fight against Conor McGregor at UFC 264. Poirier is working hard to prepare himself for this fight. As UFC 264 draws closer, here we take a look at Dustin Poirier's intense training routine.

Training Schedule

Poirier typically trains at American Top Team in Florida for six days a week, twice a day, with Sundays off. However, he still runs for at least 5 miles on Sundays for active recovery. 

First Session

Monday, Wednesday, and Friday mornings are dedicated to specific training for boxing, wrestling, and jiu-jitsu.

Second Session

Poirier does strength and conditioning in the evenings on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday.

Ground Work

On Tuesday and Thursday mornings, Poirier works on his groundwork techniques.


His second session on Tuesday and Thursday is reserved for hard sparring sessions with professional fighters.
