Twitter CEO Musk recently tweeted that he would be “up for a cage fight” with Zuckerberg, the CEO of Meta. In an Instagram story Wednesday, Zuckerberg fired back by posting a screenshot of Musk’s tweet overlaid with the caption: “Send Me Location.”
Cage matches have been popularized by mixed martial arts or MMA franchises like UFC. The “Octagon” refers to the cage around the ring in which fighters battle because it has eight sides.
UFC president Dana White recently made an appearance on ‘The Pat McAfee Show’ to discuss the clash of the tech titans.
During their chat, McAfee mentioned Zuckerberg’s Jiu-Jitsu credentials and asked White about Musk’s fighting experience. The UFC boss replied, “Yeah, well, you know, Zuckerberg takes this very serious man. He’s very into the sport. He trains and has been training for years. Now he’s starting to compete in jiu-jitsu tournaments.”
Georges St-Pierre has been an ardent fan of Musk. He expressed his admiration and provided an invaluable support to tech billionaire.
The powerful billionaire Musk can rely on an unusual training proposal from the UFC welterweight champion.
